Alcoholism is one of the most urgent problems in Russia. Many people like to “skip a glass” from time to time, if there is a reason. But, according to narcologists, about 3 million Russians do not just drink periodically, but drink to get drunk. Moreover, the actual number of alcoholics can be much higher, since not every victim of alcoholism goes to a narcologist.
The federal project “Sober Russia” and the CEC “Rating” revealed the most drinking regions of Russia. The list is based on the following indicators: sales volumes of beer and vodka, the number of deaths from alcohol poisoning, the number of people suffering from alcoholism and alcoholic psychoses, crimes committed by drunken persons, the strength of anti-alcohol legislation in the regions of the country.
The sobriety rating of subjects is framed in a table. In the beginning they go the most sober regions, then the most problematic ones. The less points, the more sober the region.

The monitoring conducted by “Sober Russia” and the CEC “Rating” is the first of a series of “alcoholic” studies that show both the degree of alcoholization in the regions and how effective the anti-alcohol legislation is.
New versions of the “National sobriety rating” will be adjusted based on estimates of sociologists, narcologists and other experts, and indicators that have occurred in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
